  • Fostering a taste for tandem reading

Process

The two students start the lesson by introducing the author. To do it they show a video from youtube about Oscar Wilde’s biography. After that they make a short summary of the story they have read together. To make it more appealing they used a prezzi presentation, including pictures of the most important parts. Finally, they dramatize one of the most important scenes (Virginia talking to the ghost in the library).

Conclusion

This story is very unusual for a terror story. It is humorous and satirical, and readers get easily engaged in the plot. The scene in the library, roleplayed by the two students, was extremely funny and all the students were enthusiastic about the story and motivated to read it.
